We are thrilled to welcome Kevin Boyd to host this special workshop. Create your own ceramic items and apply texture using objects found in nature. A must for anyone who loves nature. Read on for more details!

Workshop information

You will be guided to create textural ceramic items inspired by our natural environment.

  • Learn hand building techniques using a variety of clay bodies

  • Make your own functional items such as a bowl, vase or dish

  • Apply textural decorations using oxides and slips

Batch-brew coffee, herbal teas and sweet treats will be provided. Catering by Matilda cafe, Mont Albert.

About Kevin

Renowned ceramic artist Kevin Boyd is celebrating 50 years as a maker and teacher. Kevin’s vast teaching experience spans secondary and TAFE levels. He loves to share his knowledge of making, decorating and glazing pottery.

Kevin continues to create exquisite ceramic art; he exhibits at galleries and his annual open studio events. We are lucky to have Kevin host this textures workshop at Mont Albert Clay.
